About Celebrant of Colours

My Logo explained and a bit about me!

Dragonflies are a key factor in my  Celebrant of Colours logo. It  is a tribute to my late Mum, who sadly died in 2005.  The nurse in ICU gave me a book about how to explain death to (my then) young daughter and ever since, the dragonfly has been a symbol of my Mum and her love. The interlocking rings denote wedding rings - and the heart shape they make symbolises both love and loss.

I was born in Berkshire, and moved to Nottingham to be with my now husband.  My first Funeral Eulogy was written back in 2005, but it is only in the last few years that I have re-trained as a professional celebrant.

If you're going to do a job, do it well, my Dad taught me!

To the right is a rather chuffed looking me receiving my course certificate from Stuart Morris, the CEO of the International College of Professional Celebrants.

Thanks to Guy for some smashing pics of my adopted home town!

Meet Tj, the Celebrant of Colours

As every good celebrant knows, the job isn’t about them.

It’s about YOU, the client. It’s about YOUR day, YOUR way,  ALWAYS.

And this covers all aspects of Celebrancy, from Weddings to Funerals and everything in between. Every Celebrant should put their client first.

Each and every client should be made to feel comfortable, safe and happy, secure in the knowledge that their wishes are being listened too and acted upon.

A good Celebrant listens to, then subsequently helps you tell your story: happy or sad. A great Celebrant not only listens, but carefully and considerately, crafts a Ceremony that you, your family and friends will all remember and treasure for a lifetime, whether a wedding ceremony or a funeral service.
